User research on use cases for passwordless authentication using FIDO2 on mobile for CPL’s SafeNet Trusted Access

CPL’s SafeNet Trust Access is a niche identity and access management software for medium to large enterprises. In their efforts to continually update their product, they commissioned us to interview IT security specialists about their knowledge, needs and intentions to use FIDO2 standards in a mobile passwordless authentication strategy. A work plan was produced to determine the steps to be taken. A screener was used to select the 6 best candidates who were then interviewed. These were then analyzed and discussed during a team workshop at our client’s site to establish the use cases and the development plan of the solution in relation to the use of FIDO2 on mobile.
